Due to a recent promotion, YMCA Camp Kitaki, a branch of the YMCA of Lincoln, NE, is seeking an innovative and dedicated Executive Director to work along side our Sr. Executive Director to elevate Camp Kitaki to the next level.
Position Overview:
As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the day to day management, leadership, and administration of camp operations. This includes program development, staff recruitment and training, safety/risk management, property/facilities and financial stewardship. You will work closely with YMCA leadership to ensure camp thrives as a mission-driven, inclusive, and safe environment for campers and staff alike.
This position is located in Louisville, NE and includes onsite summer/off season event housing and extended hours:
- Summer Season: Requires onsite summer living and or extended duty hours.
- Off Season Events: Requires overnight extended on duty hours as needed for event.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in camp management or youth program leadership, including supervision of staff and fiscal management.
- Proven ability to develop programs that meet community needs and align with organizational goals.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of building and leading cohesive teams.
- Knowledge of regulations, health standards, and risk management best practices in resident camp settings.
- Passion for youth development and commitment to the mission and values of the YMCA.

YMCA Camp Kitaki, is a summer resident camp facility for ages 7-17, whose purpose is to build strong kids and adults through programs that promote positive identity, relationships, values and skills in a unique natural setting. We are a dedicated group of professional youth developers who passionately believe in the power of the overnight camp experience and what it does to help grow a child's sense of self-worth and independence.
In addition to summer resident camp, Camp Kitaki hosts off-season campout events as well as outdoor education programs that enrich and reinforce class room learning.
Camp Kitaki has grown through the years to include 215 acres, lodging for over 375, over 20 horses, a pool, lake, archery range, and high ropes challenge course.
